Bran the Celt (Clive Pig) told us all about the Romans and how the Celtic people lived, ate and worked the land with music and words. As part of the Two Moors Festival, we were lucky to get a private recital from the Kyan String Quartet who played some classical pieces as well as some more well known compositions such as the Star Wars theme. Roman topic, sunny weather and welcome to Mr Pugh!
This week, we have been introduced to our Roman topic. In groups, the class performed their own interpretations of the myth of Romulus and Remus. The sunny weather has allowed us to host some guided reading sessions outside. We also welcomed our PE specialist Mr Pugh to the school. He will be taking the PE lessons this term. Today, the children discussed ways of expressing feeling and emotions in their PSHE lesson. They learnt about why it is important to express our emotions.
