Well done to Ruby class for the lovely table decorations. Highampton Christmas Lunch served by elves! - Lip smacking delicious was the overwhelming verdict! Highampton Nativity "Stable by Starlight" was a great success with all the children star actors and the event was well attended by the community with our fabulous PTFA providing refreshments and a raffle. Tarka Class represented the school well at the recent KS1 Multi-Skills event at Holsworthy College and they are proud of their certificates. The Rev Skinner joined us for an advent assembly and the children visited Highampton Church for the Christmas Tree Festival. Water play in Tarka Class. To support our learning about Marie Curie, we created a WWI hospital, with an ambulance containing a mobile x-ray unit. The children had an amazing time being soldiers, doctors, nurses and X-ray operators! Then we created our own x-rays with chalk! In our science unit we have been learning about 'Light'. This week we have investigated how shadows are formed. We designed and made our own shadow puppets! Working in our mud kitchen and reading al fresco. Homework should be submitted to school on or by 9th November 2022. Thank you. Our Wildlife Champions are checking out the trees and Careful on the balance beam!
