Spelling

Spelling lists will be issued weekly.

Spend 15 minutes completing the given activities to learn the spellings and/or rule.

Practise your spellings in your own time too! Remember, spelling triangles is a useful tool to practise spellings.

We will then test the spellings LIVE as a whole class. Date and time TBC.

Then, upload your spellings onto dojo to be marked.

Week 2 (WB 18th January 2020)

Practise this week's spellings using the age appropriate activities.

Y3 - Watch this video. Have a go at the matching the contractions tasks in your packs. Match the contractions to their non-contracted forms. E.g. can not = can't.

Y4/5 - Watch this video. Have a go at the apostrophe for possession tasks provided in your packs.

Y6 - Look at your spelling list. Root words are highlighted in blue. Using a dictionary or google find out their definition. How has the root word changed? What does the new word mean? How has the prefix changed the meaning of the word?

If you finish before the 15 minutes, put the words into example sentences.
