Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
"Learn together, care together, grow together"
Dartmoor Federation Motto: 'Working together to be the best we can possibly be’
Our school council work pro-actively with all of the children and staff to ensure that the children have their say in making our school special.
This term they have looked at playtime organisation and equipment, where games and activities make break times enjoyable and fun.
We now have football on Mondays and Thursdays, coned off for safety.
On Fridays, the Y6 set out and run rotas of activities
Equipment is organised for specific games.
Last term 2 members of the council, Poppy and Aiden, spent a day with the new DMAT School council. An aim set was to reduce/remove the use of unnecessary plastics in school.
This week, in response to an idea by Mrs Lowe, to reduce the plastic that our fruit is delivered in, Aiden wrote a letter to the company- but we were then able to speak with them.
Going forward, they will collect all plastic bags and packaging, and recycle them at their depot!
